Sounds like: Candy-coated teenage angst.

Forever Emerald is a pop rock group founded in Los Angeles, California.

Their debut 'Safer Space' discusses the problems faced when transitioning into adulthood; first loves to self-doubt. A product of their surroundings, they bring a pop-punk energy to the midwestern emo sound. They grew up on the front row at Warped Tour and are going to be the next generation of the scene.

"'Safer Space' is about validation in a relationship, be it platonic or romantic, and feeling like nothing you do is good enough for that person.

People often don't realise their words carry weight. You can get caught between the love for that person and wondering wether the timing is right or if they need to grow more before being part of your life but, despite all of the problems, you still find comfort in them and hope they will remain your "Safer Space"."

"Candy is about knowing someone that is constantly praised

for being positive and them being more toxic than people think.

It’s the struggle of knowing how a person actually is and

seeing them portray themselves to a world that doesn’t know a true version of them.

It also speaks on a situation where a friend thinks they know what’s best for you and in the process of trying to 'help', they cause more damage."
